The building industry has a rather poor reputation amongst homeowners who, it must be said, fall into every trap that is set for them by less than reputable builders and many others.

The website was started by Ann Kempen some years ago when she became frustrated by the lack of easy access to information when she was attempting to build her house. Rated within the top million websites on the whole World Wide Web, All About Building is making its mark. It is already the premier general information site in South Africa for anyone contemplating building, extending or renovating their property. Although it still has a long way to go we are working to turning All About Building into the premier pro-active website in the country that offers practical advice and information to the general public on all aspects of the process of home building, renovating or restoration together with diy tips, news articles, alternative building methods and much more. The growing popularity of the site is quite evident from the number of phone calls and e-mails that we are getting from visitors to the site every day.

A relatively new addition to the website is "My Little Black Book" where satisfied clients will be able to recommend the services of practitioners in the building industry who have done good work for them. We are receiving many enquiries from the public for reliable professionals, builders, electricians, plumbers, tillers, etc., in the various centres around the country and your recommendations will be helpful to many who are looking for the good guys in the business. Members of the public can therefore approach these companies with a fair degree of confidence for the services that they need. It is my wish to populate My Little Black Book with as many recommendation letters as possible.
