Replacing a damaged tile PDF Print E-mail

Someone passed this tip on to me the other day, I haven't tried it but it sounds like a reasonable idea.  He said he had done it this way and it worked.

Of course, you must do the necessary preparation work first, like removing old glue, etc.  You can soften old glue with a heat gun and then scrape it off with a paint scraper.

Anyway, this reader proffered the following solution for sticking down the new tile.  He said you should fasten strips of double-sided tape around the edge of the tile with a couple of diagonal pieces across the centre, then remove the backing tape and stick it down.  Sounds easy peasy even to me.
