There is something mesmerising about looking at water, especially if it is in the evening, there's a light on in the pool and it's still and calm outside. Not so if it reminds you that you actually need to clean it because of the southeaster that has blown a million leaves into the pool. Here's a trick to trap those leaves that float on the top; this is so neat and it works amazingly. A friend of mine has an old plastic bat (that has holes in it - sort of a plastic mesh) floating on top of her pool - try it - it works like a dream. All the leaves seem to gravitate towards this bat and just lie unresistingly on the top. Move over Kreepy Krauly!
