One of our readers sent Les the following question:

Based on the info supplied here, it would seem that I would have to get approval for plans to remove a swimming pool, is that correct?

I wish to crack the bottom of the pool shell and remove the top two feet, so I can over-plant, as the pool takes up almost the whole back garden and is in poor shape.

Les replied as follows:

It may differ between municipalities but a plan needs to be submitted for approval if you wish to remove a swimming pool.

There are three good reasons for this.

Firstly, it cancels out the plan that should have been submitted when the pool was installed.Secondly, you would require a demolition permit which will be issued with the approval of the plan and then, probably most important of all, it would enable you to have the rates on your property reduced. You would probably need to do some legwork to ensure that the municipal value of your property is reduced and that your rates are adjusted by your local municipality but, these days, every Rand needs to be counted.

Also take note that this driver works on Epson AcuLaser C4000 Printer Driver 4.2bE a number of other Bluetooth devices as listed below. Make sure to raise the lever up to a 90-degree angle.
