Recently I read an article that stated that one out of six South Africans are self-employed and running their own businesses from home!

It makes sense then that if you're considering working from home or are working from home already that you give good thought to planning your home office.  This could, indeed, add a lot of value to your home if you give it the consideration it deserves.

I asked a number of entrepreneurs and self-employed people what they would consider to be the most important features in a home office and have received some fantastic suggestions and ideas that maybe you haven't thought of yet.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will try to get as much information together as possible for you to incorporate into your build including up-to-date technology requirements for a home office, ergonomics, safety, position, size, furniture, security, aesthetics, comfort, client appeal and accessibility.
